4/21/2023 0 Comments Magix samplitude pro x2 silverWhat I'm liking most about it so far is the click, to practise with (but I still love my Dr.Beat66) and the other thing of course is, stuff is instantly on my computer, no endless up and downloading, burning CD's etc. If there's a way to get rid of the mixer I might take it, but so far I'm having luck with sending everything in Samplitude to channels 1+2 "out" which lets me monitor through "the cans" (do they still use that term? hehe) from the Scarlett output 1. The biggest obstacle so far was figuring out sending each track from the Scarlett to correspond with Samplitude and the Scarlett mixer. It's very similiar to Logic, or Protools from what I can see. I'm starting to figure Samplitude out and I'm enjoying it over the BR-1600. Hey that's Mr Doodie by the way, lol- why did I choose that name? I like Samplitudes so much that if Son decide to come back from France and take up his music here again seriously I would severly dent the Plastic and buy Pro X ll ! I do know I looked at the Mix software, screamed and shut it off! I shall try to be braver one day. I have an 8i6 but I don't think I have tried it with Silver. Have you tried the excellent MP3 etc converter? SE8 is not ENTIRELY happy on W7/64 but does work. The next breakthrough was Computer Music magazine who gave away Sam SE8 (then 9, 10 and 11 but never liked those) Brilliant! The 16 bit experience with M A S G 6 translated very well to SE8 and it has served us well for years. Never had any luck with MIDI but later found that was made for SE9 and would not play at all well on XP. Then I spotted "MAGIX Audio Studio Generation 6" in of all places, WH Smiths £9.99 and after a LOT of faffing got the audio side working a treat. I have to wonder how you came to it? Well over 12 years ago my son and I struggled with recording software (we knew nowt and I was broke) and yes, to my shame, we did dabble with a crack of Cubase but was severely punished since it borked my only computer and it took over a week for a (sadly no longer with us) PC gifted pal to sort it. I have been mentioning this DAW quite often on HR as a completely free alternative to the excellent but All Conquering Reaper. Most interested "Mr Doodle" to read of a user of Samplitude Silver.
